Jack Alford recipient of 2018 Beachy Beach Real Estate Community Scholarship!

The Benches That Jack Built

We are very excited to announce that Jack Alford has been awarded the 2018 Beachy Beach Real Estate Community Scholarship! The scholarship was founded in 2017 and has an annual $1500 award going toward attendance at Gulf Coast State College. Eligible applicants must be recent High School graduates in good academic standing at a Bay County school. They should also be an advocate of community service, with a documented track record of local community involvement.

Jack graduated from Mosley High School this year with a 4.1 GPA and gave 200 hours of community service. He was an Eagle Scout responsible for organizing the Buddy Benches project at Lynn Haven Elementary. Jack’s Mother Tonya Alford has been a teacher at LHE for many years, and Jack was a former student there as well. It was then that he saw potential in a large outside area being unused. The Buddy Benches Jack had built provide a green space for the young students to gather and meet new friends. We have no doubt they will be cherished for many years to come!

Jack is currently pursuing a degree in Environmental Science. Congrats to our 2018 Beachy Beach Real Estate Community Scholarship recipient and super great guy, Jack Alford!!
