My sweet precious loving community!!!
There is so much I want to say, but right now I think we are all just doing it!! I see so much love, and I mean it is EVERYWHERE! Each one of you that I know is pouring out your heart to others. You are not even thinking about your job right now as your job is to help our friends that were not as lucky as we were. We know how a hurricane or one little twist of fate can change our life forever.
Grace is sustaining all of us now, and yes, we have been at it for a couple of weeks, but our work has just begun. Just as grief does not abate in a week or two or even a month or two, our friends need us for a long time to come.
Do not be weary in doing good. Do not faint. Just take a deep breath of gratitude and continue the journey in front of you. There are so many precious souls that need us. I promise you that you will not lose one thing by digging into your heart and your wallet and lending a hand.
I am so thankful that I live in a place filled with so much love and so much faith in our people. The leadership is unsurpassed. The people are without limits. Our law enforcement, our teachers, our neighbors to our east and west, north and south. Our Realtors, all companies of all sizes are taking their days and giving of their time and resources. We are so grateful for all that our community has given to us in life and love and resources that we must give it back.
Because our people are filled with hope and endowed with grace, we will do the task in front of us. We will build an even stronger community. My prayer is that we will never be the same… We will be better, bolder, kinder, stronger, and filled with the deepest grace that no storm can take away.
To say I love you all is not deep enough to convey. I pledge to continue to live by my pledge, “The only people we have to get even with are those that have helped us”. My list is so long now, and so many of you are on it.
With the greatest of love and admiration,
